This turkey is not only simple, but it’s SO delicious! I never knew roasting a turkey could be so easy with great results, but here it is!

Mary Lou: I have baked the turkey breast side down for 30 years. It is definitely true that it is moister if you cook it this way. I wouldn’t cook it any other way. Once anyone tastes my turkey, they want to know how I made it so moist. Of course, I pass the tip along.

It looks great, however, I have a comment. Did Paula actually touch the cooked bird with the raw bird goop still shining on her hands?
Or did the video just not show her washing her hands?

Also when seasoning the turkey, she used raw goopy hands to pinch out the salt and pepper.
In days long past we didn’t have to worry about such things, but this show was a cross contamination nightmare.

I want to try the recipe, of course, but I will be sure to wash up frequently after prepping the raw turkey.
