It is definitely true that it is moister if you cook it this way. I wouldn’t cook it any other way. Once anyone tastes my turkey, they want to know how I made it so moist. Of course, I pass the tip along.

Or did the video just not show her washing her hands?

Also when seasoning the turkey, she used raw goopy hands to pinch out the salt and pepper.
In days long past we didn’t have to worry about such things, but this show was a cross contamination nightmare.

I want to try the recipe, of course, but I will be sure to wash up frequently after prepping the raw turkey.
