If you pre-cook the bacon, it may not stay formed around the breadstick.

Recipe states to cover the ENTIRE 4-1/2 inch breadstick with the bacon…..top to bottom. It would make it a bit more difficult to pick up by hand but then the breadstick would keep a stick from over-baking and breaking.
